In its new AWS (Aluminium Window System) generation of windows, a system has been developed to meet all requirements. Functional benefits are combined with architectural and design features. The few perfectly integrated components combine benefits such as high levels of thermal insulation to passive house standard with low basic depths and narrow face widths.
On the basis of standardised interfaces, all fittings can be operated manually, mechatronically or centrally via a building management system. Burglar resistance to security class RC 3 (WK3) (DIN EN 1627) is standard.
Saving and generating energy: System solutions combine innovative technology with outstanding design. At the same time, they drastically reduce the energy requirements for new or modernised buildings. By combining window systems with automation, solar shading, and ventilation devices, additional potential for energy saving can be exploited.
Primary energy consumption: In a typical family home built in 1980, with 144 m2 of usable space, the new AWS 90.SI+ windows will save a total of 51 kWh/(m2 a) or 730 litres of heating oil per annum. This reduces carbon dioxide emissions by some 2 tonnes per year.
Ecological Materials: The AWS 90.SI+ Green window uses pioneering, ecological materials. Significant proportions of renewable raw materials in the plastics substitute raw fossil materials, ensuring high environmental standards.
The innovative system solutions with SimplySmart technology facilitate simple planning, production and installation, whilst providing the best thermal insulation and simultaneously increasing productivity and quality in construction.
Security profile cylinders, magnetic switches, and electric multi-point locks increase passive security to class RC3. The TipTronic turn/tilt fitting achieves security class RC3 with automatic anti-finger-trap protection.
TipTronic mechatronic fittings combine energy management, security, and design. Up to 30 windows can be connected and operated with one group control device.
